Asian Handicap
Updated over a week ago

🌟 Asian handicap is a variation of regular bets with a handicap, which has a number of nuances.

The Asian handicap has values that are multiples of 0.25 (0.25, 0.75, 1.25, 1.75, 2.25, etc.) and combines two handicaps, one of which has a value of 0.25 more, and the other of 0.25 less. For example - Handicap P1(-0.25) is divided into Handicap P1(0) and Handicap P1(-0.5). Consequently, the bet taking into account the Asian handicap is divided into two bets, each of which is calculated separately, and the bet amount is divided equally between them. 🔄

Possible outcomes and results of the Asian Handicap:

  • If both halves play, the bet wins with the full specified odds. 💰

  • If one half of the bet wins and the second half is returned with K=1, then the winning coefficient is calculated using the formula (K1+K2):2. 📈

  • If both sides of the bet lose, then K=0. ❌

  • If one half of the bet is returned, and the second half of the bet is lost, then K = 0.5. 🤔

Examples of calculating bets on the Asian handicap:

Example: Manchester United – Chelsea, W1 Handicap (+1.25), score 1:2, k=2.33, bet amount 100 rubles.

Calculation:

  • We divide this handicap into 2 parts (+1 and +1.5), the bet amount for each is 50 rubles.

  • For a +1 handicap, we get a refund (coefficient 1), for a +1.5 handicap, we get a win.

  • (50 rubles X 1 (return coefficient)) + (50 rubles X 2.33 coefficient) = 50 + 116.5 = 166.5 rubles.

Example: Borussia Dortmund – Fortuna, W1 Handicap (-0.75), score 2:1, k=2, bet amount 100 rubles.

Calculation:

  • We divide this handicap into 2 parts (-0.5 and -1) for each 50 rubles.

  • For a handicap of -1, we get a refund (coefficient 1); for a handicap of -0.5, we get a win.

  • (50 rubles X 1 (return coefficient)) + (50 rubles X 2 coefficient) = 150 rubles.
